Shelly Kaiser has been named the new retail and membership director of the Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce. She replaces Jen Berti, who left June 1, 2022.

Kaiser begins her duties today, Feb. 1. She brings experience in real estate, development relationships, and chamber support/assistance.

“We are excited to add Shelly to our staff as she has been a dedicated Jackson Chamber supporter as well as City supporter for a very long time,” said Brian Gerau, president and CEO of the Jackson Area Chamber of Commerce. “She’ll be great representation for our region.”

Kaiser was previously a mortgage loan originator at Alliance Bank in Cape Girardeau. She began her banking career while attending Jackson High School. As a junior, she took a class called “Modern Office Technology” which gave her the opportunity to spend the last two hours of the school day as a teller at First Federal (where Montgomery Bank is now).

She became a full-time teller after graduating, and except for a couple of short diversions, she had been in banking ever since.

Kaiser has also been involved in many aspects of our community. She has served as a chamber ambassador with both the Cape Girardeau and Jackson Area Chambers of Commerce. She was the Jackson Area Chamber Ambassador of the Year in 2015 and was named the Women Impact Network (WIN) Woman of the Year in 2022.

She has also been involved with the March of Dimes, Believing Beyond (the Nolan Weber Foundation), the Jackson Noon Optimist Club, Cape Girardeau Project Charlie and Levi’s Children’s Charity.

Shelly and her husband Jason have two grown daughters and a granddaughter.
