Chocolate Tea Cookies

  • 1 c. butter, softened to room temperature
  • 1-3/4 c. powdered sugar (divided)
  • 1 tsp. pure vanilla
  • 1-1/2 c. flour
  • 1/4 c. cornstarch
  • 1/4 c. cocoa
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1-1/4 c. finely chopped pecans

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. In large bowl, cream together butter and one cup of the powdered sugar. Beat in vanilla. Combine rest of dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture. Stir in the nuts.

Shape dough into tablespoon size balls. Place on ungreased baking sheet and bake approx.10-12 minutes.

Cool cookies on cookie rack. Roll cookies in remaining confectioners sugar after cookies have cooled about 10 minutes. (Makes two dozen)
