Ingredients:
- 1 pkg. mini slider buns or Hawaiian sweet rolls
- 1 lb. roast beef
- 12 slices provolone
- 1 c. French fried onions
Topping:
- I stick of butter
- 1 pkg. of Au Jus seasoning mix, halved
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp. onion powder
- 1/2 tsp. seasoned salt
- 1 tsp. minced garlic
Directions:
Melt butter and whisk all the ingredients together and use a pastry brush to baste the top of the sandwiches.
Add the remaining mix with 2 c. water and warm through. Use this for dipping sandwiches. We also like to serve this sandwich with creamy horseradish or if you like spicy we also really like Giardiniera and you can buy it mild or hot.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place bottom on buns on greased 9x 3 pan. You don’t have to break apart the rolls. Its actually easier if you don’t. Spread 6 slices of cheese over the buns and then top with roast beef and the remaining 6 slices of cheese and sprinkle with French fried onions and add tops of buns. Bake 15-20 minutes or until tops of rolls are golden brown. (Serves 4)
