Gooey Butter Cake

Cake Ingredients:
  • 1- yellow cake mix
  • 1- stick of butter, melted
  • 1 egg
Filling Ingredients:
  • 1- 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened to room temp
  • 2- eggs
  • 1 tsp. pure vanilla
  • 1 stick of butter, melted
  • 1- box of powdered sugar (16 oz)
Directions:

Preheat over to 350 degrees. Grease 9 x 13 pan. Combine cake ingredients and mix well. Bake for about 10 minutes. Its important not to over bake the cake.

To make the filling, beat cream cheese until smooth, adding eggs one at a time and vanilla. Mix well. Fold in butter and powdered sugar mixing well. Spread over baked cake mixture.

You want the center to be gooey. Bake approx. 35-40 minutes. Let cool and sprinkle a little more powdered sugar over the top before serving.
