Ingredients:
- 2 c. sugar
- 1c. shortening (Crisco)
- 4 eggs
- 2-1/3 c. cake flour
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 8 Hershey bars, melted with 4 Tbsp. water
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 3/4 c. pecans (optional)
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350. Cream sugar and eggs with shortening. Add eggs, beating after each addition. Add dry ingredients alternating with buttermilk. Blend in melted chocolate and vanilla. Add nuts. Bake in Bundt pan for approx. 1 hour. Invert into pan and dust with powdered sugar.
