Alice Leander

A private memorial service and interment for Alice M. (Koehler) Leander of Rochelle, IL, will be held for family at Lawn Ridge Cemetery in Rochelle, IL, at a later date. Affordable Cremation and Funeral Service of Belvidere, IL, assisted the family.

Alice, 78, passed away Friday, July 30. 2021, in Rochelle, IL. She was born Sept. 17, 1942, in St. Louis to Lawrence F. and Emma L. Koehler. She grew up on the family farm near Jackson. She was a 1960 graduate of Jackson High School. She spent most of her adult life in the Rochelle area with life partner Howard “Moose” McBride. He preceded her in death earlier this year.

Survivors include her brother, Larry Koehler and spouse, Beverly Koehler of Jackson, one niece, Paige Silverstone of Evergreen, CO, four nephews, Kris Koehler of Ft. Collins, CO, Eric Koehler of Evergreen, CO, Aaron Koehler of Aurora, CO, and Zachary Koehler of Colorado Springs, CO, step nieces, Jenifer Craiglow and Sara Blechle, both of Oak Ridge and nine great nieces and nephews, stepdaughters, Marlene Moss, Joan Smith and Barb Kemp and stepson, Dennis McBride and “the best dog ever,” Pepper.
