Arthur Obermann

Funeral mass for Arthur Lee Obermann of Jackson, will be held Tuesday, July 13, 2021, at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jackson. Father Randolph Tochtrop will officiate. Burial will be at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson with full military honors. Visitation will be Monday, July 12, 2021, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Chapel in Cape Girardeau, with parish prayers at 7 p.m. There will be no visitation the day of the service.

Arthur, 94, died Friday, July 2, 2021, at SoutheastHEALTH in Cape Girardeau. He was born April 14, 1927 in Oran, to Arthur Herman and Hermina Baundistle Obermann. He and Betty Ann Fuhrmann were married Jan. 10, 1948, at Advance. She preceded him in death on April 13, 2011.

Arthur served in the Army Air Force Corp during World War II serving in the North Atlantic.

Arthur was owner and operator of Obermann and Sons Heating and Plumbing in Jackson for 22 years.

He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and American Legion Post #158 Altenthal-Joerns.

Survivors include a daughter, Doris “Sister Dory” Obermann of O’Fallon, two grandchildren, Ronald Lee (Karen) Obermann Jr. of Jackson and Nicole Singh of Maryville, WA, a great-granddaughter, Isabelle Singh and a sister, Jo Ann Moore of Cape Girardeau. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a son, Ronald Lee Obermann Sr., three brothers, Robert, Earl and Elmer Obermann and a sister, Leona Friga.

Memorial contributions may be given to Immaculate Conception School, 300 S. Hope Street, Jackson, MO 63755.
