Clement Wille

Funeral service for Clement “Clem” O. Wille of Jackson, was held Monday, July 26, 2021, at 1 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson. The Rev. Joshua Schmidt officiated. Interment was in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.

Clement, 84, passed away Thursday, July 22, 2021, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born Nov. 15, 1936, in Tilsit, son of Jesse and Lulu Baer Wille. He and Verla Mae Sides were married June 29, 1957, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson.

Clement was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Tilsit, was an active member for 60 plus years at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson. He served eight years in the National Guard. Clement was a dedicated worker, working many jobs, starting at the LaPierre/Sawyer Handle Factory, then to Davis Electric, in addition he worked various part-time jobs including custodian at Gene Wills Insurance Agency in Jackson for 30-plus years and at The Cash-Book Journal. He was employed as a shipping clerk for Lenco Inc. in Jackson, retiring after 40 and a half years of service in 2004.

Loving survivors include his wife of 64 years, son, Jeff (Suk) Wille of Crestwood and their son, PFC Layton Wille of Fort Riley, KS, a daughter-in-law, Kris (the late Steve) Wille and their children, Ian (Emily) Wille of Commerce and their daughter, Karen Wille of the home and Melana Wille of Jackson, two brothers-in-law, Jerry (Lavern) Sides and Paul (Carolyn) Sides, both of Jackson, a sister-in-law, Ella Mae (the late Kenneth) Kuntze of Jackson, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Steve Wille, in 2004, his parents, and two brothers, Leonard Wille, Wilbur Friese and a sister, Mildred Amelunke.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to St. Paul Lutheran Church or St. Paul Lutheran School.
