David Alan Sailer

Memorial visitation for David Alan Sailer of Jackson will be held Sunday, March 28, 2021, from 1 p.m. until service time at 4 p.m. at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson. The Rev. Debra Tracy will officiate. Inurnment will be in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson at a later date.

David, 61, passed away Friday, March 19, 2021 at SoutheastHEALTH. He was born Dec. 9, 1959, in Cape Girardeau, son of Calvin Victor and Vela M. Voges Sailer. He and Kandi Rapp were married July 3, 1981 in Jackson.

David was an owner and operator for Sailer Roofing for his entire working career. He was a member of Christ Evangelical United Church of Christ. David’s hobbies were fishing, spending time at the lake and gardening. He proudly spent time helping and donating material to help the senior cititzens of the church. His true enjoyment in life was spending time with his grandsons.

Loving survivors include his wife, Kandi, of nearly 40 years of marriage, two sons, Joshua David (Tara) Sailer of Jackson and Jacob Daniel (Kali) Sailer of Hayward, CA, four grandsons, Oliver, Calvin, Connor and Elliot Sailer. He was preceded in death by his father, Calvin Sailer.

In lieu of flowers and gifts, the family suggests contributions be made to Cape Girardeau County Sheriff Department.
