Funeral service for Elda Lydia Palisch of Jackson, was held Friday, March 26, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson. The Rev. Jason Shaw officiated. Interment was in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson. Arrangements were handled by McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

Mrs. Palisch, 88, went to her heavenly home Tuesday, March 23, 2021. She passed away at the Jackson Manor Nursing Home in Jackson, where she resided the past six years. She was born Nov. 7, 1932, in Farrar, daughter of Karl Erich and Lydia Amanda Petzoldt Feiste. She and Herbert H. Palisch were married May 2, 1953. They had just celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary when Herb passed away May 10, 1997.

Elda was baptized and confirmed at Salem Lutheran Church in Farrar. She attended Salem Lutheran School. After moving to Jackson, she became a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Elda was a homemaker and also did babysitting in her home. The kids she kept always held a special place in her heart, even after moving on. Elda enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening.

Loving survivors include four children, Wayne (Louise) Palisch of St. Louis, Clayton (Susan) Palisch of Scott City, Sharon (Roger) Bass of Texas and Dawn (Mark) Hoffman of Jackson, five grandchildren, Amanda (Gary) Johnston, Elizabeth (Derek) Poston, Rachel (Josh) Penfield, Andy (Jodi) Palisch and Alex (Ang) Palisch and six great-grandchildren, Braxton Johnston, Addison Poston, Ava Penfield, and Dru, Russ and Easton Palisch. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herb Palisch, a granddaughter, Brittney Seabaugh and two brothers, Delmar and Vernold Feiste.

The family suggests that contributions be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson.
