Gale Deckard

A celebration of life for Gale Deckard will be held by the family at a later date. Arrangements were under the care of Liley Funeral Chapel.

Gale, 74, passed away Thursday, Aug. 26, 2021, at SoutheastHEALTH. He was born Dec. 25, 1946, in Pine, son of Jess and Lucille Ashcraft Deckard. He and Carol Leazenby were united in marriage April 25, 1987.

Gale graduated from Jackson High School in 1965, worked for Elmer Kieninger as a timber cutter, Dow Chemical and the International Shoe Factory in Jackson. He served in the National Guard.

Survivors include his wife, Carol of Jackson, children, Justin Williams, Marie Kieninger, Sheila Denton, Aaron Kieninger and Kenny Denton, sisters, Kay Bell and Jessie Kimbel, ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
