Gregory Ross

A celebration of life for Gregory Michael Ross of Foley, AL, was held Saturday, May 15, 2021, at 10 a.m., at New Life in Christ Church in Foley, AL. A second service will be held Saturday, May 29, 2021, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. and the service from 11 a.m. to 12 noon. Arrangements were handled by Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. in Foley, AL.

Gregory Michael, 61, passed away Friday, May 7, 2021, in Foley, AL. Known by most as Michael Ross, he was born and raised in Jackson, son of James Edward and Teddy Joyce Ross. He retired and lived in Gulf Shores, AL, most recently.

He was a proud member of the New Life in Christ Church in Foley, AL. He loved spending time with his family, cooking, playing many different instruments, painting in oils and acrylics and watching sports. He was known by many as a soccer coach and mentor. He was a chef and loved creating new dishes.

He is survived by his wife, Rhonda Clark-Ross, children, Rhiannon Davie and grandchildren, Regan and Ross Davie; Samantha (Bruce) Savat and grandchildren, Bruce Jr., Payton, Kiana and Gage Savat; Kia Ross (Aaron Pfountz) and grandchildren, Brooklyn, Skylar, Trinity, Katriona, Lenora and Marcellus Pfountz; Sabrina Sierra Ross (Gabriel Stack) and grandchild, Barrett Stack; brothers, Randy (Penny) Ross, Tony Ross (Kimberly Taylor), Darren (Beverly) Ross, Ron (Gina) Muriera, Alan Muriera and sisters, Catherine Muriera and Melanie (Chuck) Morrill. He was preceded in death by his parents.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to JAOSA Inc., the soccer organization that Michael coached. He dedicated many hours molding young minds and encouraging teamwork.
