Jack Floyd, age 83, of Jackson, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2022 at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born on July 23, 1939, to Wilbur and Loreen (Tinker) Floyd in Cape Girardeau. Jack married Brenda Keesee on Sept. 27, 1959, and she survives.
Jack was employed by the City of Jackson for over 20 years. He loved to go fishing and hunting, and enjoyed going to the casino.
Survivors include sons, Jack Jr (Leisa) Floyd and David (Dina) Floyd both of Jackson; one daughter, Joy Floyd of Jackson; nine grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary (Sandy) Schlegel of Tempe, AZ; and several other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Mickey Floyd; and a grandson Nathan Floyd.
A graveside service was held on Monday, Aug. 29, 2022, at noon at New Bethel Bethel Church Cemetery, 6137 County Road 525, Jackson, MO 63755.
In lieu of customary remembrances, memorial donations may be made to New Bethel Cemetery Fund.
