Ora Lee Hopkins

Funeral service for Ora Lee Hopkins of Jackson, was held Friday, June 4, 2021, at 11 a.m. at Ford and Sons Funeral Chapel in Jackson. The Rev. Janet Hopkins officiated. Interment was in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.

Ora Lee, 90, passed away on Saturday, May 29, 2021, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born Dec. 23, 1930, to Noah D. and Sarah Dockins Hopkins at Jackson. Ora and Helen Dummy were united in marriage on Dec. 23, 1971.

Ora Lee loved farming throughout his life. He belonged to the Jackson Trail Riders, and loved horses, dogs and all animals.

He served in the United States Marine Corp as a motor mechanic specialist.

Ora Lee is survived by his wife, Helen Hopkins of the home, sisters, Dianna Cara-mico and Delores Poulos, both of Palatine, IL three sisters-in-laws, Janet Hopkins, Anna May Crain and Doris Tucker, numerous nieces and nephews and a friend of many. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, N.D. Hopkins, Harold Gene Hopkins and Terry Lane Hopkins.
