Susan, 72, passed away Wednesday, May 19, 2021, at Jackson Manor in Jackson. She was born Nov. 7, 1948, in Desloge, daughter of Francis and Mildred Wagoner Dunlap. She and William “Bill” Koch were married Sept. 16, 1972, in Desloge. He survives.

Susan was a graduate of Desloge High School Class of 1966. She attended Southeast Missouri State University earning a master’s degree in teaching. Susan taught grades K-6 at Meramec Valley R-3 School District in Pacific, for 27 years retiring in 1999. In 2005, she and William moved back to the family farm in Altenburg to enjoy their retirement together. Susan was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in New Wells. She enjoyed playing the piano; she was an instrumentalist for church; and especially enjoyed accompanying family and friends when they performed at church. While her health still allowed her, she enjoyed getting out on the “greens” to play a round or two of golf.

Loving survivors include her husband of 48 years, two sons, William (Heather) Koch Jr. of Union and Daniel (Shelby) Koch of Egypt Mills, two brothers, James (Nancye) Dunlap of Fenton, and Joseph (Jeanice) Dunlap of Rolla, and three grandchildren, Lillian, Clara and Silas. She was preceded in death by her parents.
