Wyatt Berry

Funeral service for Wyatt Gene Berry of Oak Ridge will be conducted Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at 10 a.m. at the Oak Ridge High School gymnasium in Oak Ridge. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 15, 2021, and from 8 to 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 16, at the Oak Ridge High School gym. Arrangements were handled by Ford and Sons Funeral Chapel in Jackson.

Wyatt, 17, left his earthly home to be with Jesus on June 11, 2021. He was born Aug. 29, 2003, to Lindsey and Dean Berry, who survive and two sisters, Zoe and Addie, who reside in the home. Wyatt was blessed with the love of a large family including several aunts, uncles and cousins and maternal grandparents, Richard Baer (Patsy Lucky) of Old Appleton, Donna Thompson (Robert Mitchell) of Oak Ridge and Kerry Thompson of Cape Girardeau. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Doris Berry.

Wyatt declared his love for Jesus at an early age and was baptized at Caney Fork Baptist Church where he was a member.

He was a true country boy at heart. He loved hunting, fishing and spending time with his friends in the great outdoors.

Wyatt was employed part time at Voges Farms and Paving Pros. He also spent a lot of time helping his Grandpa Baer on the farm.

He was looking forward to his senior year of high school at Oak Ridge where he played baseball and was a member of FFA.

Wyatt’s sweet, gentle spirit will long be remembered by those that knew him. He spoke softly and treated everyone he met with kindness and respect.

If you wish to honor Wyatt, the family asks that you love others with all your heart and be kind.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Wyatt Berry Memorial Fund at the First Midwest Bank in Cape Girardeau or Jackson in care of Whitney McFall and Heather Short.
