In his final year at Saxony Lutheran, three-sport senior Luke Eggemeyer was officially one of the eight area athletes to be named to the All-CBJ Team.

Eggemeyer’s senior year started on the pitch with the Crusaders boys soccer team, which had its season come to an end in the Class 2 District 1 semifinals to the eventual district champions.

As a member of the Saxony boys basketball team, Luke became a 1,000-point scorer during his final year of high school ball. The Crusaders finished 17-10 overall and won the Rolla “Duke” Herbert Tournament to start the season.

Eggemeyer, who will continue his basketball career collegiately at Concordia, earned all-district accolades for the third time.

The third and final sport Luke represented Saxony in this school year was as a member of the boys volleyball team. The Crusders produced 11 wins and went undefeated against area rival Notre Dame.

The advice Luke would give up and coming athletes is, “Work hard, stay consistent and put in maximum effort in everything you do because you never know what will happen.”
