Area boys and girls hoopers garner all-district for Class 1-3

Last week, the Missouri Basketball Coaches Association announced all-district selections for classifications one through three, which saw a combined total of five area players honored.

Earning Class 1 District 1 All-District was Oak Ridge girls basketball sophomore forward Reagan Howe, who averaged a double-double with 20.9 points and 10.4 rebounds through 25 games for the Blue Jays. Howe managed to record 17 double-doubles and produced three 30-point and 15 20-point outings as just a sophomore.

As for the Oak Ridge boys basketball team, senior guard Camren Volz and junior forward Ty Wilson were named to the Class 2 District 3 All-District Team. Volz led the Blue Jays in scoring with 17.3 points per game, while Wilson nearly averaged a double-double at 15.1 points and 8.1 rebounds per contest.

Lastly, Saxony Lutheran’s boys basketball team had two players named Class 3 District 2 All-District in juniors forward Luke Eggemeyer and guard John Hartmann. Eggemeyer finished averaging a double-double at 14.7 points and 10 rebounds per game, while Hartmann led the way in scoring at 15.2 points each game and also hit a team-high 57 3-pointers with a 33.3% from deep.
